I've got a folder with a bunch of subfolders with a bunch of folders (a tree). I've got a bunch of bmp's in all these folders as well. I've been tasked with copying the tree and renaming the folders and the bmp names so viewers will not be influenced by their names or location. It's part of a blinded study where the folks that named these files titled them with the results (duh!). There are literally thousands of pics.

Question 1: Does explorer expose the index of the folders and files within them? If so how do I access them?

Question 2: Can someone give an example of bulk rename of folders and files?
