Direct 3D: I'm Totally Clueless
I have been trying to learn how to make a 3D engine. Basically, I've been playing games like Daggerfall, Dungeon Master, etc. and I would love to learn how to do something similar to that.
I don't need anything complicated. Just the very very basics. I've looked all over for a good tutorial but I'm still mostly in the dark about what I'm doing. If someone could please point me to a great tutorial or bit of source code I would be extremely happy.

However, if you are looking for easy, game programming isnt your bag.

Thank you for the link. That is certainly the best tutorial I've seen so far on using DirectX. For now my brain is overloaded, so a lot of it is going over my head. I might try coming back to it later when I've my head time to sort it out a bit more.
Thanks again.

I now understand a lot of it quite well, but it looks like my computer can't handle working with 3D. Shouldn't surprise me because it's only a 233 MMX. My frame rate is horrible, so I can throw doing any 3D games out the window. hehe.
That site was a huge help. Thanks again.
