Winsock with Parallel port?
OK, I've tried getting help with Direct Cable COnnection stuff before, but with little success. I am now wondering whether it's possible to use the WInsock control to set up a connection between two computers linked via their parallel ports.
I was using Shell(C:\Windows\Directcc.exe) to load the direct cable connection app, then SendKeys "{Enter}" to simulate pressing the listen button, to start the connection. THe problem is I need to detect whether the connection is actually made before I can proceed with the rest of the program, and doing it this way I can't determine the status of the connection.
If Winsock can be used does it enable file sharing in the same way as the DCC? Any help is greatly appreciated
