Icon theme project (for fun and profit) ;-)

Have you seen those Icon theme programs, like Icon Packager by http://www.stardock.com or E-Icons? They let you select a themes of icons that change all of your folders, drive icons etc.

I think this is a cool idea for desktop customisation. The problem with them is that they don't let you create themes that include icons for any file type you like.

They have a limited set that they change.

What I am looking to do is to develop an icon theme program that lets you go beyond a set list of icon types and choose your own. It would be nice if it could inport icon themes from other programs as well

I know this might be a lot of work but if we get a few ideas togeather who knows?

If anyone is interested in developing this for fun initally or profit later let me know. You can start with a few ideas for what we might need if you want.
