    Question

Hi. I am looking into buying a MiniDisc player/recorder or an MP3 player. I need some advice on what is suitable. I am wanting to get a minidisc as opossed to an MP3 player because they hold more data. I want to be able to record MP3 from my pc onto a minidisc player. Is this possible? Would i need some third party connection kit? I have a laptop and I don't have a sound card. I have audio out though. Can anyone offer any advice on what i should do? Should i go for a minidisc? (How do you go about recording to them?) or should i buy an mp3 player? (can anyone recommend any good ones?).

    Waiting for advice!

Get a MiniDisc - they're much better. To record an MP3 to MD, take a mini-stereo -> mini-stereo (small headphone size) cable, connect it from line-out on your laptop to line-in on the MD. Set the MD recording, then play the MP3 as normal.

    Wink Thanks!

Thanks Parksie. Do you have a Mini-Disk then?

So to record my MP3's to minidisc, i would connect the recordable mini-disk to my laptop's line out and just record the mp3 playing yeah? I just wanted to know if this was possible, as I have never seen a mini-disk player.

    Thanks for your advice.

    Get the mini disc player,
you can buy mini CDR's from http://www.cdroutlet.com

and you can record them with a regular CDR Burner,
and then you don't neeed a recordable Mini disc player

    What are you gibbering about?

Dennis - MiniDiscs are completely different to the small CDs...
