    Unhappy

two things on CR8 crosstab report:

    1) I am creating a report on payments by month. The
months are the column headings. The column MONTH is a
numeric value ranging from 1 to 12. As the column header
in the report, I use the function "MonthName ({ado.MONTH})"
to show the name of the month rather than the number
itself. But stupid Crystal Reports orders the columns
alphabetically by the result of the function rather than by
the value of the field, so that instead of appearing
as "January February March ..." it appears as "April August
    July..." et cetera.

THIS HAPPENS EVEN THOUGH I ORDER THE RECORDS BY "MONTH" IN
THE ORIGINAL QUERY IN ACCESS AND AGAIN IN THE RECORDSOURCE
FOR THE REPORT. I can't alter the table to fix the report.

    2) how can I format the crosstab graph to where it will only
be 1 page wide no matter how many columns it has?

Anyone who can tell me how to do either of these things will

    1) be greatly appreciated, and
    2) save my pathetic life because I will no longer have an
excuse to jump out the window

Thanks in advance for preventing my imminent flying lesson,

    Andrew

Never mind! Solved question 1 by ordering the formula results in a specific order (pain in the ass but what can you do), and Seagate support via email tells me that the second part is not possible. Sigh, a-jumping i shall go
