    What's a Good Book for beginners and what's a good book that tells you how to program a game....for beginners?

    i've always liked the Sams' publishing Teach Yourself Whatever in 21 days books. i got the one for VB5 and it was pretty good

    I agree, I have "SAMS teach yourself Internet Programming with VB 6 in 21 days (It were 3 days for me but what the hell ).

    I was kinda dissapointed, but not in the quality of the book, I just misunderstood the Subject, it's more about ActiveX and CGI on the server-side than VB windows programming with internet capabilities (altough it has some chapters about it)
    But I still do recommend the SAMS... books!

    Oh okay, i'll try that book then and see how it goes.

    C++? I thought it would be harder to learn how to make a game with that.
