Hi I have this Comp Sc. course at school, but the stupid part is that we are doing programming in Turing. I looked all over the web for a Turing Compiler but couldn't find it. does anyone have it or can you tell me where to download it from?

    Found (I think): http://www.edu.uni-klu.ac.at/~cschie...ler/index.html

To bad the page is not in english. But if that doesn't help, try searching http://www.searchalot.com for "Turing Compiler".

Hope you find what your looking for.
Mind explaining to me what "Turing" is?

Turing Or OOT is actually a language that was areated in the University OF Toronto. The language is actually really simple and is a good language to learn concepts of programming. But, it isn't used in the market anywhere. IT's typically a language that is taught in the 10th grade in Canada.

Wasn't it named after Alan Turing, the person who essentially invented computer programming to find out German Enigma codes during WWII. Isn't it just binary?

I thought programming was invented by Ada Lovelace.
