I have an application that I am trying to automate the installation of. I have about 20 different files that need to be put into specific directories to make the application run. The problem that I have is that some of the files are so big that I they need to UNZIPPED off the cd before I can place them in the right directory. Is there any way to automate this whole process with a sort of front end application using VB.
So basically, what I need to know does anyone know how to automatically extract files from winzip
Thanks a lot for any suggestions
JK

I don't know how well this works, but I it seems to meet your criteria. Good luck!

I downloaded some .ocxs that would allow you to call zip and
unzip from VB a while ago, but I don't remember exactly where I found them. I will try to see if I can find the link for you.

I have no idea what the link was, but I did find the zip
file. It is not an ocx as I thought, but rather a couple
of dlls. It is called CGZip library and has a vb project
with it. I have not tried it, but if you're interested in
it, I can email it to you.
