ASP.NET hosts
So, what's the scoop? Are there free (or reasonably priced) hosts that run ASP.NET? I saw a post about brinkster, which looks fairly good, but just wanted to see if there were others.
I did search this site and couldn't find a discussion about this, which actually really surprises me.

Hi,
I am in Singapore. Over here, the web hosting services are much cheaper and the technical assistance is also better (if you dont mind the time zone difference). After all, a good web host shouldnt be too problematic at all...
My site www.Softwaremaker.Net is hosted on a . NET Server with all the works and much more harddisk space and bandwidth than Brinkster
I have 150 MB HDD and 20 Pop email accounts
If you are interested, I will find out if they do accept other currencies in their on-line payment method.

On a personal note, if your serious about ASP.NET, stay far away from Brinkster. They have a free trial which is pretty horrible, and their pay service is pretty bad as well. I guess you cant expect much for 12 bux a month, but their constant problems and things not working just make it an overall bad experience. Thats just my 2 cents, spend it as you want.

I am in Singapore
My site www.softwaremaker.net is hosted on a .NET server for a year now with a local reputable web server host
It has most of the features a web host can give and more. 150 MB HDD and 20 POP email.
I have also been developing .NET apps for almost 18 months now since beta 1.
The host has all my .NET apps and web services. Check my site for all those apps and services.
Its all hosted for SGD$10.00 a month which translates to abt US$6.00 a month. Technical support is gr8 and they accept visa payment online so other currencies are accepted.
How abt it ? Take my word for it. I have got a few domains hosted everywhere includ. Brinkster, innerhost, Bluedomino but nothing beats this local company for value esp when it comes to .NET stuff. Email me for more info at [email protected]

I second www.webhost4life.com...
$9.95 per month for SQL server and ASP.Net or 4.95 for classic ASP and MySQL

Re: ASP.NET hosts
I originally used brinkster and cancelled after a few months cause they were horrible.. they claim to have updated all their hardware and blah blah blah, but I had so many problems with them, and we were running a commercial website that needed to work properly, not just some test server.
I moved to a different host who was actually awesome, but they are shutting down hosting because they were kinda small and could not compete with big hosts with cheaper prices.
I currently am still under that host until Jan 1, but I just set up an account with discountasp.net and I am moving the site over until we go live with it.
They offer FREE hosting for ASP.NET 2.0 (not sure if any restrictions apply), but they seem to be a really good host, and with about 10 minutes of filling out the order form, I was able to get into my FTP and upload files.
I am paying $90 for the year (plus 10 a month for SQL Server 2k)
If we didn't have our customer DB online, I would have just used the free MS Access support they provide, but we needed SQL Server.
anyway, you may want to check them out, they give you a lot for the $$
they even offer VB.NET code samples on how to do things with the components that are included
