Using SysInfo.ocx with VB 6 Learning Edition

Although SysyInfo.ocx ships with VB 6 Learning Edition unfortunatley you don't seem to be able to use it.

If you install it using regsvr32.exe when you try to add the control to a form a message appears to say that "You do not have the appropriate licence".

Is there any way round this or is there no option but to buy the Professional Edition (or Enterprise).

Many thanks for any possible assistance.

You would need to upgrade to professional or enterprise to use the control.

However, does the learning edition provide the ability to make API calls? If so, then you can replicate much of what the SysInfo control does by making a few registry reads with the Reg APIs.
