    Oracle database connection

    has anyone come across this error in ASP.NET?

    Oracle client and networking components were not found. These components are supplied by Oracle Corporation and are part of the Oracle Version 7.3.3 or later client software installation. Provider is unable to function until these components are installed.

    I'm using Oracle client 9.2, the odd thing is I'm able to connect to a database using a VB.NET form, but when I'm in ASP.NET using a webform I get this error....any suggestions?

    are you running the page on your local computer? The same one the VB app ran on?

    yes, I am running it locally, same as the VB.NET app on XP prof.
