    Unhappy Bugger

Found out last night that my mum has got breast cancer
but they have caught it really early so she's got to have a small operation in a month's time and touch wood, everything should be ok.

Must be a bad year all round because just about everyone has been hit by it.
Ben must be a big target though

    Not good matey, not good.

If it's caught early though there's very seldom a problem. My mum had the same thing about 8-9 years ago and they sorted it fairly sharpish.

Chin up dude - it'll all work out...

Ian, I am sorry to hear that I know how you feel. My step-mum had it 3 years ago, also caught early, she's completely sorted now no problems.
I know saying 'don't worry' is stupid so just be there for your mum.

thanks Kim and Glen as well I've always been close to my mum, so no problems there Glen the only thing I'm slightly concerned with is that she's got to wait a month for the operation, nothing is gonna happen in that time, I know but I would still be better at ease if she could get it removed imediatley

It's probably a good sign, if the doc says in a months time is OK

I wish her well Ian. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with the same just over a month ago. She has just come out of hospital having had a lumpectomy and after many scans and tests the doctors say she should be okay.

It's a difficult time but I hope everything goes well for your both.

cancer treatment is getting better all the time. One month is nothing these days - I know that doesn't make you feel better, but it should give you a more hopeful outlook.

I'll wish you both good luck as a formality you won't even need it. She'll be good as new in no time.

I've wasted so much precious time
