Seach Engine for Domain Registration

Hi,

I have to make an script for a site that allows people to find and register domain names.

Is there anybody who can help me starting the script or has example of it (can be other script than asp.net)

This article shows how to do w whois query with asp.net. I'm assuming that a negative return on something like this will mean the domain is available but check it out anyway:-
