    Do you have to connect to a server?

    I'm pretty new to the .NET environemtn and I gotta admit that it's pretty easy to use. My big question is......Do you have to connect to a server to use data from a database in your app? I've been playing around with it and I haven't found a way to connect to the current DB on my computer. If anyone has any solutions I would be very appreciative. tks

    i dunno but wouldnt it be impractical to make u connect to a server?

    No, you don't have to connect to a server. What kind of database are you trying to access?

    HellsWraith,

    I've got a fairly large access DB built and I'm trying to get the data into my app, but I haven't found a way yet. I tried the references thing, but I might be doing it wrong. Have you got an idea?
