Who wants j4u to shut up?
OK, I, along with most others on this forum am thoroughly sick of jesus4u's incessant babble. I, along with everyone else knows exactly what he thinks about God etc. He has presented his opinion over and over again, to the point where I often ignore his posts.
I think it's only fair that he is allowed to express his views, which he has done. Who would agree with the motion to kindly request that he ceases from constantly pestering us with his beliefs?
J4U, I respect your opinion, but I'm fed up of hearing it over and over again.

I just find it quite funny that he's so caught up in it that he can't see a valid argument when one comes his way.
I say let him babble on and we all laugh. Otherwise we just ignore him.

I think it is also you who can't see a valid argument.

You must have a 'Jesus' inflatable doll you shag in the arse every night.

I'm with Jon on this one
I respect his opinions, but there is a limit, especially when you take into account that religous discussion here always turns nasty

J4U : I usually agree with what you say, like that day when you said we should be spending more time & effort on family than work, and I think most people appreciate your thoughts, but the reason you get flamed is because any extended discussion on religion turns into a bitter debate sooner or later, which the board dislikes.
Why don't you post in neutral third-person tones, without sounding like you're trying to coax anyone out of anything into something else, or maybe just put these things in your Sig? And start participating positively in regular posts as well?

I guess you're right. I can't see any validity in documents written long before my descendants were ever a people.
I hate to bring up the analogy again, but I can't see how War of the Worlds proves there's aliens.
All of your arguments come from the bible and websites that you copy and paste from. It's easy to copy something that someone else wrote of which you have no idea where they got their information.
It's like quoting some preteen's personal web page about his feelings on education.

I don't have a problem with J4U, or anyone else, talking about their beliefs.
What I have a problem with is the fact that J4U will mot address other people's queries/arguments directly. He throws biblical quotes or religous propaganda back in your face but you get the impression he is talking at you, not to you. It's like he has no interest in actually listening and communicating with infidels.
I find it curious how he has been quite for quite some time now but has suddenly come over all righteous again.
I have had a theory, for a while now, that bouts of religous fervour coincide with bouts of spiritual doubt and transgression. It's a sort of comensatory factor to make up for his sin.
In which case, we are nothing more than his spiritual punch bag.
Everything I say is either loose interpretation of dubious facts or idle speculation rooted in irrational sentiment.

I enjoy J4U..
Much the same way I enjoy a frog and a magnifiying glass on a bright sunny summer afternoon!
I'm a misanthropic philanthropist!

I agree with his beliefs but I think he needs to shut up and stop preaching to everyone. Who cares, if you're a Muslim, or a Jew, or an Atheist, or whatever, it's your own choice. Nobody should be trying to stop you.
On another note, I bet half you Bible-bashers are Christians yourselves...
I'm bringing geeky back...

What this makes me think about is that I've been reading Dean Koontz lately, and the latest one I read, focuses in part on this guy who thinks he's perfect in every way and that when he kills ppl he is doing something good. He is completely blind to the fact that he is a nutjob psycho.
I wonder if J4U = c. manson or something similar?

Without reading the rest of the thread:
I think he has his space, time, and bandwidth to use the forum just like the rest of us. Even though I don't believe anything he says, I do respect his beliefs.
Just ignore him if you don't want to be told about god and jesus....

Can't the moderators just weed out any threads that just go on about religion, and leave in any that are valid VB (or thereabouts).
Winding people up about religion can be a dangerous game to play, and over the last few days I have seen this particular topic discussed quite heatedly, and always around this same guy.
Its drawing away the whole point of these forums in my eyes, and I think something should be done to kerb it, before all this just gets out of hand.
Maybe a moderator should step in and re-address the rules/guidelines for forum users, so we all knnow where we stand.
Sorry to sound a bit rightuos(?), but this is all getting daft, annoying and boring !!
OK I'll shut up now

Isnt Chit Chat supposed to be unmoderated? I would have to say, leave him be, and if you dont want to hear it, dont read it. Generally, people like him simply thrive on the attention, and the only way to shut them up is to ignore them.

Did you know there even is a Jesus-actionfigure!
I saw it in a store last week, dammit...
He had a beard and white-toga-like-cloths....
With ajustable arms and legs....
About 7" high...
Only for about $15...
With some props like bread and wine...
Dammit...
I never had such a good laugh.
