    JavaScript stopped functioning!

When I load any html page w/ javascript, it acts like it isn't even there! Even the text in the noscript tag doesn't show up.

I know it's not my programming error because every site I goto w/ js acts the same way!

    Any ideas about this problem?

I have ...wait a minute, the version doesn't even show up under the "About Internet Explorer" dialog.
It's version 6... and I'm using Windows XP. My "Find" dialog box doesn't work either.. I type in text, but the find button is still disabled.

    Sounds terminal

At this point I would try reinstalling IE, or reverting to the previous version if you can to see if that solves everything. If that's no go, looks like a reinstall of XP

I downloaded a setup package for IE6, but it tells me that my version is newer.

I guess I should start backing up stuff.

I had this problem when I tried running one of my pages off of my hard disk, and the external JS file was in the wrong folder. So maybe it's that, or you don't have JS turned off do you? I don't think so because you should see the noscript stuff then.

Clear your cache, cookies, history, etc, then reboot and see if that helps.

    Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.
