i just finished John Smiley's beggining vb book and have been messing around a little with creating some different programs. I was just wondering which direction I should go in now. Thanks for the help!

It depends on what you want to do,
do you just want to write freeware programs for you and other people to use?

or do you want to sell your programs commercially??
or perhaps create large database programs made for organizing business's etc.

we cant tell you where to go if you dont know what you want first.

well I guess your just slow then!

well if he wants to sell apps, he needs to start learning fast so it can be a quicker road to success... etc. etc.

Hey, my insight is probably valued least here but here goes anyway! My suggestion is to just develop apps that you wanna make, that you think will be useful or fun. Fun, is the key thing right now if this is your hobby! You can release them as Freeware for awhile. Once you really start to get into it, you then decide if you wanna charge for your progs...

    Good luck!

I would like to do freeware type things, things for fun. (fun is good). Basically just some programs here and there on the side, but I do want to continue to learn as much as possible.
