I hear this morning that Jack Straw said that we've got to sell some weaponry to the USA (to sell onto Israel) because otherwise it might damage our relationship with the USA.
I thought it was the law in this country not to sell weapons if they're going to be use for internal struggles or for doubious purposes
Very disheartening because it's playing into Al Qieda's (or however you spell em) critisisms of the USA and the UK

And then you get flak from them for saying that they're imperialistic and that you seriously doubt their idea of 'freedom, fairness and justice'.
But hey, we're only Europeans right. Small potatoes.

While middle eastern nations have some legitimate beefs with the US,
the only thing Al-Qieda's hands are good for are for keeping the
ropes from slipping as the horses pull them apart.
But that's just one sponge's opinion.
It looks like we've got a monopoly on Arms sales then eh? What a country.
Is this Israel - palestinean thing an internal struggle?

Israel = 52nd State
Seriously though, Bush could vastly improve his international credibility if he turned round and STOPPED all support to Israel.... Intentionally or otherwise the US is funding Israel's continued agression....
Before you say - 'but so are other countries' . . . stop and think why. Probably to stay on the right side of the worlds largest two faced nation....
As an aside - several nations have the idea that a multinational stabilisation deployment could be made - areas of Syria (near mount sinai) have already been looked at as forward staging posts...
