    How to make win2k default in the multi OS selection thingy on startup?

    I have windows 2000 and windows 98. Anyone know where I can set it up so that windows 2000 is selected first on the multi OS selection thingy on startup? I installed win98 last and now it selects that as default... I want win2k as defult. Any ideas?

    Open up c:/config.sys in notepad

    Look for these lines and modify to suit your needs:

    menuitem=Win98, Windows 98
    menuitem=Win2K, Windows 2000
    menudefault=Win2K,5

    the "5" is the amount of time you get before it gets automatically selected.

    Nope, didn't find it. The config.sys file didn't contain any of that. Also did a serch for files containing "menuitem", but didn't find anything of interest...`at least not on the root, look around a bit more now. So any other ideas?
