AVI Video Problem!

This is the thing... I have a video file in AVI format and when I try to play it.. it can't... WMP says it doesn't support AVI's.. QuckTime gives me an error too... and I'm desperately hoping to find a way to see that.. I just NEEEEED to see that!!!

by the way, the movie is compressed with DivX 5.0.2

Have you actually got DivX5 installed? If so, and WiMP still doesn't work, download the DivX Player from www.divx.com, and that should work. If not, then install it....I had probems viewing DivX5 encoded films with the v3 codec.

I tried that already..... and the DivX palyers says it's not supporting it either...I think it's corrupeted because I tried capturing a test video with teh "DivX ;-) MPEG Fast Motion" and it was working fine.. but when I put it to "DiviX 5.0.2 Codec" it starts... and when I stop the video, the program freezes...

So I dont know.. I REALLY REALLY desperately need that video!!!!
