    Talking Useful program!

    -Hello!

-Is it possible to write a program, where you choose which applications/programs, etc., you want to start at startup? -Or whenether you want them to start?

-This would be very useful, since I`ve got lots of programs that I don`t want to start every time, but rather when I need them.

-I guess I will need to use the registry then (?), but how do you do it?! Any suggestions?

You could use M$'s windows scheduler.

If you wanted to make the prog in VB, then possibly the easiest way would be to create/delete shortcuts to porgrams in the startup folder in the start menu.

    starup cop..........

go to download.com and get "startup cop", it tells you what programs start up, thier priority as needed and whether or not you should have them start or even remove them (especially good for killing crappy programs like bonzibuddy.

Or if you don't feel like coding, try using Tweak UI. It allows you to uncheck and check which things start up.

Try Startup Control Panel from http://www.mlin.net/StartupMonitor.shtml

and if you want to monitor if a program registers itself to start at startup then try StartupMonitor from http://www.mlin.net/StartupMonitor.shtml.
    Baaaaaaaaah
