    VB.NET problem :(

    i instaled visual studio .NET and it said after i installed it that i should restart the computer...but i didnt restart it right then, i first open visual studio .net to check it out...worked perfect..after that i restarted my comp and since then i always get a "THE APPLICATION CANNOT START"...anyone knows how can i fix?

    You're screwed. you probably funked up the installation when you started the program and did'nt restart.

    Best bet is to re-install again.

    you might want to check a few things first... like your start/program files/start folder or in your registry under hkey local machine/software/microsoft/windows/current version/run to see if what may be causeing the problem is there

    i formated the disk and solved the problem :P

    heres how you fix it

    the problem is not all of the windows components are installed. despite the fact that you first use the component update cd that comes with .Net, if all the windows components are not installed, it wont update them. go to add/remove programs in your controll panel, then the windows components tab. I personally turn on everything but "other network file and print services". Next time, try this and reinstall before you format.
