Are ActiveX controls "legacy" in .net???
According to a few books I have read they tend to indicate ActiveX controls are legacy and although they can be used create an application which is not purely .net.
It also says the way .net handles ActiveX controls has a real performance hit depending on the type of control.
I way going to use the "old" Listview control as it way better but decided to as I'm not going through the effort to upgrade while hanging onto a few controls.
I have found the .net listview control to be a bit on the frugal side with image support on headers and sub items.
If I could intercept a paint message for each cell I would tackle the painting myself except I can only find a paint mssage for the entire control.
I have also found examples in the MSDN either don't exist or are so basic they deserve to be put into 'The complete idiots guide to VB.NET'.
