    I am trying to find information on gif files, how they are constructed, how the header is used etc. If any one knows anything about this, or if you know where to find it please post a message.

    A few days ago on this forum, I read GIF's are made using LZW Compression and if you want to incorporate that into your program you have to pay money for it.


    I am not 100% sure this is correct though.

    Go tho http://www.wotsit.org It has the information on Gif87a and Gif89a and almost every other file format.
