    I have been Holed for somany weeks now searching some
    ways to Register this Mswinsck.ocx into my machine.

    By the way I only copied the file from my friend. I
    am using VB5 learning edition in creating my programs.

    My problem is whenever I use this Winsock control, It
    says I'm not allowed to use this control 'cause it'snot registered.

    Is anybody their who could Please!!!!! help me.

    I am really desperate!!!!!

    Do this
    Goto c:\windows\system and find the OCX . Then Find regserv32.exe in the same DIR . Simply drag the OCX you want to register to regserv32.exe and drop it .
    Visual Basic 6 SP4 on win98se

    Hi Private1,

    Thanks for the quick reply.I did what you instructed me to do and it says that Mswinsck.ocx was successfully Registered. But when I attached the control to the form it say "License Information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this funtionality in the design envoronment".

    Can you Please!!!! help me out again.

    That happened to me. Here is the fix for it:

    Register Winsck.ocx & Inet.ocx - Files included!
