A Single File Editor

Hello, long time since ive been ere, anyway:

How would i go ahead of creating a File Editor, all i want is a User/Passworded page where i can go in and edit this File, a txt file, ive tryed looking but no luck, so if anyone can help me ill be happy:

So i want a php page which i set up, User/Pass and txt file i can edit from the same DIR as in my server....

here is a little something I wipped up a while ago. if you know php you will have to add the username and password thing to it. right now it loads a file and saves it.

it needs tweaking as it loads it from your hard drive, but saves it on the server.
