How to turn OFF auto thread subscription?
I have done a search and Thread Subscription seems to be an issue, but i cant find the answer to my question.
How do i turn off auto thread subscription?
I delete the subscription, but the next time i post in that topic it auto. subscribes me again.
I know this can be turned off, because in User Options it says:
"When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads,"
Anyone know how to do this?

Should have known! : )
Thanx.
EDIT:
Ive ran into some trouble, i want to change the UPDATE SUBSCRIPTION TYPE for a particular subscribed thread to "No eMail Notification". I check the box and choose "No eMail Notification" from the list, then i press "Go", but even after that the notification type remains on "Instant"...

Even if you have automatic instant notification you can unsubscribe to any particular thread by clicking the link below the "To unsubscribe from this thread, please visit this page" message on the email notification.

Yes, but say i unsubscribe but then i make another post in that thread, it will auto subscribe me again. I want to know if there is an option that i can stay subscribed but for a particular thread instead of getting an eMail it doesnt notigy me (while it DOES eMail me for other subscribed threads)?

Are you asking if you can stay subscribed to a thread but not get any notifications from it? If you are, I don't see the point.

Re: How to turn OFF auto thread subscription?
The only reason i want that, is so that IF i post in THAT PARTICULAR thread it wont subscribe me to get emails for responses in that thread.

Re: How to turn OFF auto thread subscription?
The best you can do is daily/weekly email notification instead of instant. If you make a post in a thread or edit an existing one of yours then you can change your subscription mode just for that thread.

Then what you do is when you reply to the thread, scroll down a bit to the Thread Subscription frame and select Do Not Subscribe.

Re: How to turn OFF auto thread subscription?
That won't affect previous subscriptions, only new ones. Choose "do not subscribe" from the drop down in your userCP. Then you have to delete the existing subscriptions as well.

Re: How to turn OFF auto thread subscription?
Joe, I just ran a test which shows that "Do Not Subscribe" can be applied to both new and old threads. I created a new thread and had someone reply to it. I then replied, choosing "Do Not Subscribe" as I did so. I then had someone reply again and I did not get a notification of that reply.
