[RESOLVED] Automatic logout
Are we automatically logged off the forums after some time of inactivity? Has this time recently been reduced to just a few minutes?

Then I guess it must be some browser setting.

Re: Automatic logout
Not exactly the same but the following happend to me on multiple occasions:
you click on some link, new window pops up and you can see that you are no longer logged in while you are.
I tried deleting cookies, etc but once in awhile it still happens.

Firefox 3.03
Now I come to think of it, I updated to Firefox 3 a few months ago... maybe it was then that this thing began but I couldn't say for sure.

Re: Automatic logout
I use Fx 3.03 and don't have the same problem.. but it is possible that you have set it up to automatically delete your cookies (which is what logs you on next time you visit).
To check, go to "Tools"->"Options"->"Privacy", and check the settings under "Cookies" and "Private Data".

Re: Automatic logout
If you dont check 'Remember Me' then your login cookie will expire, thus logging you out.
This happens to me when i forget to check the Remember Me

That's probably because you're logged into http://www.vbforums.com and the link you clicked on was for http://vbforums.com, both are for the same DNS (same forum) but the web browser (that has the login cookie) sees them as two different sites.

That was it. The 'remember me' checkbox was always checked but may have become unchecked upon update to ff3.
