    Which is the 1st, 2nd and 3rd most popular programming languag

    Does anyone here knows which is the 1st, 2nd and 3rd most popular programming language in the world? In terms of number of programmers worldwide.

    And visual basic appears to be more popular because the google hits probably include both vb6 and vb.net.

    My prediction:

    in One and a half to two years from now Visual Basic will become the Second Most popular programming language in the world.
