[RESOLVED] Why does a laptop not 'Wake up' ?
Hi,
We have a cheap little laptop which is only used for simple little games or for surfing the web.
A Toshiba Dynabook Satellite Pro. OS: Windows 10. version 10.0.19045.0. x64.
The options for the action on closing the lid are 'Do nothing', 'Sleep', 'Hibernate', and 'Shut down'.
I have the action set as Sleep, both on battery and when plugged in.
However, each time we open the lid, instead of the machine 'waking up', it requires a restart from the power button and a password.
What could cause this ?
Can I do anything about it ?

Does beating on the space bar and or move the mouse make any difference?
If not - try changing the option to -> Do nothing
Save and Reboot.
Change the option back to Sleep.
Test it.

Thanks Steve,
Good suggestion, seems to've done the trick.
Took a bit of time to go through it all but definitely seems to've worked.
Thanks again,
Poppa
