I’m looking to get a professional website built for a project I'm working on, but I'm not sure where to find reliable and experienced web developers. I’ve checked a few freelance platforms, but it’s been hard to judge the quality and trustworthiness just based on reviews.

Ideally, I’d like to find someone (or a small team) who has strong front-end and back-end experience, and can communicate well throughout the project.
Can anyone recommend good platforms, communities, or even share how they found developers that delivered solid work?

Sometimes browsing portfolios on personal websites gives a better sense of quality than just relying on ratings from freelancing sites.
