Apologies: Back after an absence
I apologise to all the people (some of who have helped with my similarly elementary queries in the past) who tried to help with my Vb6 queries, and who received in reply some further frustratingly silly additional queries from me. I was suffering from a nervous breakdown which finally stopped my posts. At 84, I am now fully recovered and in meantime I tried ChatGPT, which is surprisingly literate in Vb6.
Thanks all !

Welcome back el84. Good to have you back, and happy you're doing better.
And yeah, all the AI engines are surprisingly good at writing simple (and sometimes not so simple) procedures. It's fun to see just how far the AI can be pushed.
Several of us (including myself) will occasionally post AI generated code in these forums as answers to various questions. For myself though, I'm always careful to state when I've done that.

The future is coming fast. I just saw this video of the new OpenAI AI called o1 that can reason.
In a test, the youtuber asked it to code a Tetris game, and it did!
For the Tetris watch from 19:20.
