Was it just a busy day and this is the skydiving version of a traffic jam?

LOL
No, that was a fully intentional built Formation.
46 people out of 2 Planes (23 each). The 2 planes were flying some 100 feet from each other, with an offset of another 100 feet. (right plane some 100 feet behind and some 100 feet to the right of the left plane)
Each person assigned a specific slot/grip (No "free" choice).
Exit-Altitude: 14,000 ft
Break-off (Time over): 6,500 ft (for outer ring. Separation was in three "waves")
Working time: ~ 48 seconds (from Exiting the planes to break-off).
.... and everything at a speed of ~ 130mph

A full briefing?
About some 20-30 Minutes all included (assigning slots in the formation, assigning slots in planes, dry runs 3-4 times)

Re: Personal Record for me.....
The dry runs were those without chutes, right?
I'd make a joke about runs, too, but that would be gross.
It seems like there are a few people on the 3 o'clock-ish location that could be considered to have red, blue, and white on their suits.

Wouldn't want to jump to any conclusions here, and you may well chute me down over this, but it seems like you just had a falling out with 46 people at once. Only Congress can top that.

And yes, the "dry runs" are those without chutes on the Ground.
Also called "dirt dives" (Let's see with what bad puns you can come up with this )

Question.
And I declare that I'm completely clueless so feel free to bash me.
Is there a suit that you open your arms and has some wing-ish type and you can glide to the air at very low altitudes or it's just in the movies?

those are called „Wingsuits“.
Search on google for „London tower bridge wingsuit“ for the latest stunt
AFAIK, someone even managed to land it without opening his parachute (landed in a huge pile of cardboard boxes)

I have done seven static line jumps using British ex military parachutes from a Dakota loaded in a running fashion (ie. it never stopped and we all scrambled on), highest jump was 7,500 feet and I wasn't meant to do that, managed to get myself in, in the wrong order along with the free fall chaps... Never again.

Q: How high do you have to be for parachuting?
A: Seven days of steady drinking should about do it!

Well, at least you're not six feet under. You stopped one foot short of that.
Also, you should try skydiving in death valley. The benefits would be:
1) You have further to fall.
2) The air will be thicker upon landing.
3) You'll be thoroughly cooked by the time you land.

Wouldn't it be thinner seeing as how it's super heated. I was reading a story about someone that had to be air lifted out (dude was hiking the dunes in flip-flops when he lost them) but he first had to be carried to a higher elevation because it was so hot the helicopter couldn't land as it wouldn't have then been able to get enough lift back up.

Re: Personal Record for me.....
You're probably right. It should be thicker because of the altitude and thinner because it's always so terribly hot. Of course, if you were jumping in the winter, the thicker might win out, but in the summer....you really wouldn't care, since you'd likely be delirious before you reached the ground....or maybe you'd HAVE to be delirious to even try that jump in the first place?

Well, considering the weather in Czech Republic (some mild 30°-32°C/86°-89°F) it certainly felt that way.
Rule of thumb: each 1000m/3300ft higher it's 6°C/~10.8°F less compared to ground level.
So if it's 30°C on the ground, it's 4.8°C/40.6°F at 14K ft, and at deployment altitude (1000m/3300ft) therefore some mild 24°C/75.2°F.
Considering we have to wear our jumpsuits, which are not really "breathing", and have to protect our cardiovascular system (bc. fast/extreme changes in temperature) by wearing special shirts under the suit, every time i landed it felt like stepping into a finnish sauna

Correct.
In Winter (Cold air) the air is thicker (we say "it carries better"), in Summer (Hot air) it's thinner.
Never mind in hot conditions the air is "bumpy" because of thermal effects. The worst being "dust devils"
EDIT (@"Bumpy"): For comparison: At that Dropzone there are some Solar panels in the south-east corner of the airfield (the solar panel field is maybe some 150 yd x 100 yd).
Crossing over that solar panel field in some 400 m/1,300 ft altitude it felt like driving on a normal road at 20-25 mph, and then directly hitting a dirt road WITHOUT slowing down!

I asked ChatGPT to tell me ten like that one:
A guy walks into a bar with a roll of tinfoil. The bartender looks at him and says, “What’s that for?” The guy replies, “I’m making a hat to keep the aliens from reading my thoughts.” The bartender says, “Doesn’t that make you worried about getting picked up by the fashion police?”
A skeleton walks into a bar and orders a beer and a mop. The bartender asks, “Why the mop?” The skeleton replies, “I’ve got a bone to pick with you.”
Why don’t scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything. And the ones that don’t are usually charged with positive or negative energy!
A duck walks into a store and asks for some lip balm. The cashier says, “Sure, that’ll be $2.” The duck replies, “Put it on my bill.”
A scarecrow walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender says, “Wow, you’re outstanding in your field!” The scarecrow replies, “I know, I’m a real straw man.”
Why did the golfer bring two pairs of pants? In case he got a hole in one.
A man walks into a library and asks for books on paranoia. The librarian whispers, “They’re right behind you.”
A bear walks into a bar and says, “I’ll have a gin… and tonic.” The bartender asks, “Why the big pause?” The bear replies, “I was born with them!”
Why did the math book look sad? Because it had too many problems.
A guy tells his doctor he feels like a deck of cards. The doctor says, “I’ll deal with you later.”

I never skydived before, but I have repelled from a Chinook, UH-60 Black Hawk, and a Bell UH-1 "Huey". Also repelled training buildings and cliffs. Hated it, but I had to do it. What was weird, it wasn't needed for my job. My unit just wanted to look gung-ho.

Re: Personal Record for me.....
In the army there was a unit I could apply to and skydive. But neither then or now I felt the urge to do so.
Also the army was mandatory so it's like making you hate everything , even the good stuff for the months doing your service for king and country. Also I really, really.....REALLY hated the army mentality. I could have gone with the flow but I didn't, I didn't hurt nobody or made people do stupid chores.
Now, if we go to war with turkey , that is another thing. Then I would transform to the unstoppable killing machine the army wants me to.
For the king for the land for the mountains
For the green valleys where dragons fly
For the glory the power to win the black lord
I will search for the emerald sword
