Massive spam in the VB.NET forum each morning for several days in a row
Isn't there a throttle that can be placed globally such that any single account can only create X threads per hour? Or if an account creates > X threads in some time frame T that the account is automatically temp banned until mods can review their activity?
Obviously whatever means have been taken these last 5 days aren't stopping this individual from continuing this nonsense.

I believe the default currently is one post every 30 seconds.... I know I've been caught by that a couple times.
But yeah... its like we're under attack.... My new posts page is showing 114 new posts... only avout 3 of them are legit.

Odds are these spammers will get bored and move on at some point in the new future.... The good news is that they aren't posting PORN Pics.
If you guys will continue to REPORT them, we'll continue to ban them.
The option to change the time option would affect All Members...which in turn could cause even more issues.
Wi-fi went down for five minutes, so I had to talk to my family....They seem like nice people.

Is there just one singular configuration option of how to handle someone trying to create tons of new threads?
If it is possible to keep the current "You must wait x seconds before creating a new thread" option AND add something like "Maximum number of new threads created per account per hour = X", where X is something reasonable like 5 or 10, then that would be my suggestion.

Or, IF POSSIBLE, make it dependable on the "rating" an Account has

The worst thing is, I called the number in the subject line, and I'm not sure exactly how it happened, but somehow I ordered 200 lbs of curry to be shipped halfway around the world to some convent in Guatemala.

I tried one of the charms against Evil Eye, and it was mediocre, at best. Sure, no Evil Eye, but everybody is giving me the stink-eye, which is still pretty bad.
My usual boring signature: Nothing
