I've posted a lot of code and stuff about things going on with my current projects and am getting nearly zero feedback. (VB6 and Earlier forums and Code Bank).

Also a few attempts to answer other people's questions.

Nobody is even saying I'm boring them and go away.

I don't get what's going on.

Are you really expecting some feedback on that?

BUT, if and when you'd really like some feedback on a particular thread - ASK FOR IT. Asking for assistance will bump the thread up.... AND then avoid posting yourself again unless it's overly important to the thread.

I don't know... how about... hey... thanks for posting this code. Or.. Hey... I looked at your code and found some things that could use some improvement.

I posted full code for a numeric textbox that I spent a long time working on and not a single response.

Also too, pants are over-rated.

I mean I posted some code then somewhere else there was thing about not posting code that doesn't include a working demo so I spent two days coming up with a demo and only one person even responded. Something like 300+ views (probably half of those view are my own). Not a peep.

I mean it's ok but if I'm wasting my time here then I'll just stop.

I've been gone from here a long time. .Net was really new last time I was here but when I posted I got a lot of engagement.

Things are a lot different here now.

you know... just a basic acknowledgement here and there that I'm trying to make a contribution would be nice.

Just stop talking quite so much and when you do speak, be concise. If you want help state it. Ensure your subject is explanatory.

In addition, ensure your posts have been well-thought out technically (and grammatically) before you press submit. People will then be more likely to respond.

Some 'chatty' overly long with posts with local slang grammar seem to put people off. Yours might fall into that category.

Cafeenman, you didn't give anyone a chance to respond to your thread "[Resolved - I'm stupid] Going out of scope before it should be." Not everyone is from the states, so there is this time difference. People have day jobs, or might be doing other things. Most viewers in that forum Googled for solutions to their own problems, and the chances of them coming to your rescue is nill.

The threads where you pat yourself on the back, the "Visual Basic 6 and Earlier" forum is not for that.

I haven't looked at your posts but a couple of general tips:-
1. Did you post in the right sub forum? One example you gave (going out of scope) should be posted in the main VB6 forum because it's a question and people in there are expecting to answer questions. The other example (textbox) should go in the corresponding code bank because it's a useful piece of code you're presenting for others to use. Folks in that sub forum are looking for useful pieces of code and will typically thank you for it. If you post in the wrong forums you won't get responses because a question doesn't merit thanks and a useful code snippet doesn't requires an answer.
2. As Peter's pointed out, marking a thread resolved will mean you won't get responses because, my marking it as resolved, what you are saying is "This has been answered, don't waste your time on it" so people will simply skim over it and not even open the thread.
