    Resolved [RESOLVED] PuTTY line drawing

    VT100 defines the line drawing chars as those between 208-213, 218 and 247-251 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VT100_encoding ). However when I try to display the line drawing characters with these 8-bit chars using PuTTY it doesn't display line drawing chars but other symbols.

    In PuTTY->Window->Translation I have:
    Remote Character Set: ISO-8859-1 (Latin West Europe)
    Use Unicode line drawing code points: Set
    Enable VT100 Line Drawing even in UTF-8 mode : Set

    How do you get line-drawing characters to display using PuTTY please. I don't mind what the required char values, char set etc are if the line chars are displayed correctly together with the standard ASCII chars.?

    Re: PuTTY line drawing

    The wa-21 link put me on the right track. You have to change DEC character set to get the line drawing characters

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DEC_Special_Graphics

    All working OK now.

    Thanks.
