    Smile New Forum Member

Greetings. I'm Cal and I just joined this forum today.

I am a retired software engineer/developer (depending on who was paying my salary).

I started with VB when it was the "Excel Macro Language" in 1990. My favorite, best work was done in VB6.

In 2005, I was *forced* to switch to C#/asp browser apps, but never liked it as much. I did that (and some python) until 2017. (Side note: in 2014 I discovered CGI and have been creating short animated videos with Blender since then.)

I'll try to not bother y'all too much.

Could you maybe save me a little time? How do I see in these forums that I have un-read replies?

    Thanks,
    Cal

waaaay up at the top right you'll see a menu "Notifications" "Profile" "Settings" ... I find the Settings link works well to take you to a page where threads you're in have activity. Presuming you've subscribed to it.

I always found the easiest way is to subscribe to any thread you're interested in. By default you get subscribed automatically to any thread you start. I have my subscriptions set to email me.

I couldn't tell you. I've never subscribed to any thread. If I'm here to goof off and waste some time, I don't see any reason to be efficient about it.
