Not connecting to FTP server (ftp-simple)
Hi guys,
I've been trying to attempt at loading the most basic website template into a free domain webhosting I created in a free webhosting site.
I'm using VS Code, so I followed these steps:
1. F1, select ftp-simple : Open: Open the file directly from FTP server
2. Select, and the project name appears on the combobox. I named it Logger
3. When I selected it, it immediately attempts a connection (FTP Connecting).
Problem is, it doesn't show the next dropdown from that selection. In video tutorials I watched, the next step will show the list of directories we want to link it (I think?) for example: . Current directory
Anything I missed? I've used my own mobile internet tethering to see if the institution internet connection has firewalled it but seems like both cases gave similar output.
And I've triple checked my FTP connection settings so I'm quite sure that is not the issue.
Thanks for the time spent on this!

I am assuming that you have been able to connect to the ftp site with standard ftp software and correct login credentials, and see the appropriate folders and files.

You said free site so I'm not sure.
In IIS you can control if you can show folder contents in it's settings.
Also you might missing some permissions on the folders like IIS_IUSRS.
If however this is not IIS I have no idea but I guess the folder show option would still stand on Apache (?)

It is 000web**st. It was censored here when I typed the full name, I'm not sure why?
Alright I'll have a look at the IIS as you mentioned.
Thanks everyone!
