The twinBASIC Family Tree
No Longer Set - VB6 and twinBASIC are Twins
twinBASIC's Capabilities: Far Beyond VB6
At first glance, VB6 and twinBASIC appear nearly identical.
After all, one of twinBASIC's primary goals is 100% backward compatibility with VB6. But that doesn't mean VB6 is 100% compatible with twinBASIC.

So just to be clear, http links (no s) are now categorically banned on VBForums? Since those trigger those same warnings?

It's probably pretty benign, but it is getting flagged by AV software...which also isn't all that uncommon. Still, anything that gets flagged in that way is certainly 'proceed at your own risk'.

Browsers and AV software have been implementing policies where they throw up those warnings for plain http, hence my question.

Re: twinBASIC in the news...
10Tec have just launched the first commercial ActiveX control built with the twinBASIC programming language.
The 10Tec iGrid control is a feature-rich ActiveX grid control which provides developers with a lightweight and easy-to-use ActiveX grid.
https://10tec.com/articles/64-bit-ocx-grid.aspx
10Tec lead developer Igor Ketenov says "The VB6 source code of iGrid was converted to the twinBASIC project format and adapted to support both the 32-bit and 64-bit CPU architectures. We needed to convert and test declarations and calls for more than 200 Windows API functions and COM interfaces, and this work has been successfully done. twinBASIC with constant support of Wayne Phillips, the developer of this IDE, allowed us to compile the new version of iGrid for 32 and 64 bits!"
The 10Tec iGrid control is a first-class OCX grid control for VB6, twinBASIC and VBA that can be used in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows, in 32-bit and 64-bit applications including Microsoft Office.

Re: twinBASIC in the news...
I used to test the iGrid control. It's very powerful, but its performance seems to be low (almost a tenth of the Fapoint spread). I once tried to load 5000 rows (maybe 50000 rows) of data with iGrid and it took a long time and almost ran out of computer memory. I don't know if the performance of the 64-bit iGrid has been improved. If that's the case, congratulations to iGrid, and congratulations to twinBasic.

Re: twinBASIC in the news...
I don't know about now but once optimized compiling is finished... it's partially implemented now and where it can be used (32bit code without strings, variants, classes, or interfaces; it can switched on function by function), it's been obliterating VB in performance, sometimes by a factor of hundreds or more.
64bit will definitely help with the memory though, as it allows more than 2-4GB to be addressed.

Re: twinBASIC in the news...
links,This is very important.
The problem has been solved in the article I sent.I'm not here to ask anyone. Almost no one here will watch it, and I just publish it as a news or a major feature.
The VBA addin, writing plugins, this is a great innovation. If it can also support coreldraw and AutoCAD, it can be extended to the mainstream VBA system authorized by Microsoft.
The situation is that Microsoft has basically stopped licensing VBA.
If the company can develop an alternative version to provide a new VBA environment to 100 or 10000 enterprises around the world, so that each software can add programming functions.
Anything that is just a replacement for bb6 is not the biggest selling point, the most important thing is to allow enterprises to allow more other third-party software to access it as an interface.

Sure, you can ask them to do that, but don't go linking from one thread to another thread just to increase the exposure.

I feel that many times the goal of administrators is not to let this twinbasic IDE be known by others, because they do not pay advertising fees.
I posted a new post asking for help, and it has been solved.
I just think his function is really very strong, and he can be like the news, which is a very important invention.
In the end, he realized my idea.
twinbasic vba, tba,Maybe it can be implemented on Linux system in the end. It can even be used in the Android app of the mobile phone.
A glass of water can be used directly on the mobile phone app. Like Python, or the JS code of an online web page.
VBScript on android webview, or run VBS in Java, it can even directly input the complete Vb6 code, can be run directly.
It displays a VB6 form on the web page, along with icons.
He also has a web version of the visual form designer and toolbox that is almost 100% the same as VB6.
I think the biggest development of listening to sadness is probably. Instead of VBA, extend such an embedded bb6 source editor to. autocad, kotlin, pycam, webstom, vscode
Of course, he doesn't need you to install 200 megabytes of the entire complete program.
He just needs one. webasm,vbs.js
vb6runtime.js
vb.net.js
Is it amazing that you can write VB6 code ,vb.net code directly when you open the web page?
twinbasic vba,twinbasic script.dll
maybe like msvmvm60.dll
Linux, which can run across platforms, Google android, and apple mac.
To provide enterprises with this kind of, ah, programming language bridge may be able to charge, a set.It can charge each enterprise 100000 euros or even 300000 euros.
