    Oops

California man killed after helping family of ducks cross road safely

It wasn't the duck walk he thought. He ran a fowl of the traffic. I hope no one egged him on to do it.

C++ programmers will dismiss you as a cretinous simpleton for your inability to keep track of pointers chained 6 levels deep and Java programmers will pillory you for buying into the evils of Microsoft. Meanwhile C# programmers will get paid just a little bit more than you for writing exactly the same code and VB6 programmers will continue to whitter on about "footprints". - FunkyDexter

Do we really want to make fun of this

I saw it on the news last night and thought it was tragic.

Yeah, I totally would have ducked this one.

Ducklings are cute. A female duck can lay around 10 eggs at a time, and will generally raise one clutch per year for several years. Since, to keep the population stable, each female should have two offspring that survive to maturity, then virtually all of those ducklings will die.

My neighbor has a couple ducks now ... they got out yesterday, fortunately they never made it out of the yard when my kids found them. Texted the owner and she came and corralled them back into their pen.

    Re: Oops

There should be a follow-up story on what he died for...those cute little baby ducks all probably died by cat, dog, and coyotes and the mother ended up on a food truck bun

Maybe that sounds cold but where I live geese are like pigeons or rats...they are ubiquitous pests. There are businesses that specialize in getting rid of them. They sh*t the size of dogs and in the spring they pull that same baby across the road trick. Blocking up traffic...aren't they cute.
