Access Print to pdf and lock pdf after printing
Hi, is there someone that can halp on this problem.
I use Access, the program prints to PDF on buttonclick and this works without any issues. I now would like to know if it is possible to print to PDF + lock / secure the PDF after printing by a password. It should be read or print only.
Is there any way to do this from VBA? This is required to prevent opening the file after printing and secure it manualy.

You are contradicting yourself.

Hi, thank you for the reply. I don't think i'm contradicting myself, but i think i could perhaps have been more clear.

I mean with this that if i only print the PDF as i do now, i need to open it manualy after printing and then secure it manualy. Hope this is more clear.

Re: Access Print to pdf and lock pdf after printing
there are pdf utilities that can secure files from commandline, which can be shelled from vba
search on pdftools
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next
dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part
come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed
