    Use D3DX.LoadMeshFromX() function.

    you need the right references as well. Remember that c++ backs up vbs low level I think.may want to start a thread on that.edit: let me expand on that some.
    So your assembly folder matters here what you have installed is what you can program. I don't think any of the updated 8 packages allow anything but math. Be sure to have appropriate runtimes. There's two new releases for vb6. A runtime and sp4 I didn't find sp4

    This may be due to directx12 new presence
