To try and refurbish the thread.
Interesting read from the old Greeks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegory_of_the_cave
Do you see any similarities to our current society?

Re: Musk buys Twitter
Technically, it could be a whole lot more than that. Our only perception of the world is through our senses. There might well be a greater reality as Plato suggested, but who is it that would drag us into the light? There might also be no reality and no light for nobody to drag us into.

Of course but remember that the fundamentals are over 2000 years ago.
If you where there you could have corrected him
You would have been Shaggos the Corinthian, I would have been Sapaklis the Athenian or more likely the Arcadian.

I think I would have been Shaggos the Corny. People would have seen through the Corinthian schtick a bit too easily.
It's always Socrates with him, though, isn't it? Did that guy even exist, or was he just there as a foil for Plato?

Fear the Cornians!
Well Plato had to be with Socrates as they where student-teacher.
So you would be either named by a musical instrument or from a location in Cyprus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kornos,_Cyprus , you did not like the thriving Corinthian community and you wanted to honk.OOookk.
