Because he does not support special cotton, so if the picture is used as the background, the text may not be seen.

I can't imagine why you would want one. It would make it much more difficult to read and edit the code.

If every control can be transparent. Or specify a separate background picture. The interface will look much better.

The thread is talking about the code editor. What you need in a code editor is a solid color background that is easy on the eyes and a font for the text that is easy to read on said background. Any type of image as a background would be detrimental to coding. So again why would you want such a thing. I guess some think it would be "pretty" but what you need in a code editor is functionality not pretty pictures.

never tried, but, the IDE background could have a hwnd/hdc, and with an external program "draw" to it, using BitBlt? Im sure it will be a mess, but could be fun to try.
