    RC6-WebView2 Demo

    Hi,

I published a WebView2 demo (all source codes + German documentation) on ActiveVB a few days ago. Who wants to have a look at it:
    http://foren.activevb.de/forum/vb-cl...wendung/#forum (ActiveVB forum)
    http://www.ww-a.de/download/WebView2-Demo.zip (Code)
    http://www.ww-a.de/download/Urlaubsplaner.zip (Binaries)

    Greetings W. Wolf

Excellent, thanks for sharing. Maybe it should be put in CodeBank.

    There are two ways:
    (1) You repost a new thread in the CodeBank sub-forum, compress the source code into a zip file and post it to the thread as an attachment.

    (2) Request the moderator (such as @Shaggy Hiker) to move the current thread to CodeBank.

and a bit of info what this is all about.
webview, if I just consider the name means u browse the web, a website, but for what reason?
the preview pic is blurred so I dont know what it is all about, seems like a schedule-editor/db something.

I can explain that quickly: The demo includes a hybrid desktop application developed entirely in VB6 (the same thing Microsoft wants to do in the future with Blazor desktop). Hybrid means that the UI of the application is based on MS WebView2 Runtime (Chromium). Between the runtime and the VB6 core works the RC6 framework.

The application is a vacation planner for small companies or individual departments in large enterprises.
The application does not require any installation for the end user (except for the WebView2 Runtime). The VB6 developer needs to register the RC6 DLLs, the end user does not.

The two zip files are for the end user (binaries, everything included) and for the developer (complete source code, without RC6 DLL + 100 pages documentation in German language).

Thanks a LOT. I really do appreciate your great efforts. And, a nearly 100-page documentation! Wow!

What would be the best way to translate your documentation (in German) to English accurately, so that people like me can immensely benefit from it?

I tried Google Translate (Document Translation). It did give me the English translation (that was great! I believe it will be accurate) but the chapter/section links of the PDF are at the top after saving the translated content into my system as a file. Also, these aforesaid links point to translate.google.com and not to the appropriate chapter/section in the document.

    Kind regards.

I felt sooo happy reading the following words in your documentation:
"For the complete RC6 documentation, a separate book would be needed, where a 3-digit number of pages is not enough."

Speaks volumes and volumes about dear Olaf's work, which I hope, with God's Grace, I would get the time to explore as much as I can.

Thanks a TON, once again, for such an extensive documentation.

    Have a great day!

    Kind Regards.
