Getting very hard to come by now. There was a Blu-ray re-release but even that is scarce. The DVD release even more so. Not carried by any streaming service at this time as far as I am aware.

Unofficially a prequel to "Enemy of the State" (1998), back story of Gene Hackman's character. It even has a young Harrison Ford.

Your best bets might be local libraries or somewhere like flea markets where used DVDs are often sold.

Oh I've seen this, its a great film.

It is very slow moving from what I remember, but also very tense. Hackman is terrific

Yeah, it was slow. I like Hackman but this wasn't one of my favorites.

Its very very slow, Hackman's acting performance is great though, not for people who want action in there movie.

I think this sort of thing was more impactful when it dribbled out week by week. Or perhaps it was the writing and producing for that scenario that gets a little clunky in today's binge viewing.

Very good show, but take it in small doses so it settles in.

A lot of the adult (as in boring for children) comedies of the 50s and 60s remain pretty watchable. Some are quite funny, most are better than trailers suggest.

Here's one with a lot of big name actors of its day:

Most don't have any aliens, car chases, wartime action, or other things we've come to expect as the core of a movie. But a lot of them are entertaining, especially when they feature a favorite actor.

"Invasion" is a 2005 TV series. It can be hard to winnow from other media productions using the same simple name. It doesn't help that Hurricane Katrina caused the show to be downplayed and so few decent trailers or other promotion remain to be seen.

    An episode trailer:

    A clip:

    Early cameo:

This is less a retelling of the classic "War of the Worlds" than it is a family-centric retelling of "Body Snatchers."

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds recently had a controversial "musical" episode. But "fun" episodes aren't new to the franchise.

One of my favorites is showcased here without spoilers:

Most fans today only know "Brotherhood" but the first FMA adaptation from 2003 provided so much more depth of character back story.

Who remembers The Green Hornet, an edgier vigilante crime fighter even more misunderstood than Batman?

    What about that crossover episode?

Note Bruce Lee here, playing Kato in his first screen role.

Here is an anime I recently watched: The Aristocrat's Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far - not too dark or complex but funny as heck imho.

A bit later a competitor came along, another puppet show program for kids "The Shari Lewis Show." This ran a lot later though, even through the 1970s.

This is not that show, but it contains a segment on Sheri and Lamb Chop as well as other nostalgia:

So many once-popular names like Tennessee Ernie Ford which people barely know any more. For that matter musical variety shows are completely out of style today as far as I can tell.

Fans of Fullmetal Alchemist might appreciate this. A nice recap focused on the soundtracks, mainly of the first halves of both anime series.

For those new to FMA: minor spoilers, but they probably won't prevent your enjoyment of both series (FMA from 2003 and FMA: Brotherhood from 2009). They both have excellent English dubs, so don't feel obligated to struggle through Japanese audio and subtitles.

For those familiar with the franchise already: tear jerker alert! Some of this may open old wounds.

It is hard to say too much about this franchise. I'd rank it with others like the X-Men, Avengers, and Batman movie series, and maybe even higher.

Don't be fooled, these aren't your little brother's Dragonball cartoons.

Unfortunately I haven't seen that in a long time as I have the Blu-ray file version that has better quality.
And let's not forget that T2 is in my top 10 movies of all time.

Never seen it in my life but there was a Greek series with a hotel manager running wild and doing whacky stuff that seems to be "stolen" from here.

Yeah I know John Cleese and Pythons.
I recently watched the meaning of life. It's the one that do not quite stick to me as pretty good.
Oh snap! I had a list with python like movies somewhere to watch...That was before summer, now where did I put them...
I lost them. Dammit! I only recall baron Minhauzen . There was another one with a dragon and, I forget not Erik the Red...Anyhow, will have to search again when I have time.

Yeah, I got a kick out of Fawlty Towers when it was "new" here decades ago. I think that was the 1970s but it might have been the 1980s.

    Re: Stuff to watch

I've gushed over this franchise before, but here is a non-spoilery argument in favor of Fullmetal Alchemist (2003):

I agree that both adaptations are excellent viewing, but my heart is still with FMA 2003 over Brotherhood, mainly due to a few subplots and scenes and ideas explored but also some of the great soundtrack.

The snag with FMA 2003 is that it can be harder to view legally than 2009's FMAB. While catalogs are always in flux, there are at least two streaming sources for FMAB. I can't find any for FMA.

It can't be entirely "stale" because I was able to buy a copy on Blu-ray recently. There are also DVD copies out there and my local library has those to borrow. I just checked and the asking price for the Blu-ray has doubled since I bought mine. There are probably also used copies out there for less money.

Note that both adaptations have excellent English dubs. So if you happen to go bargain hunting be sure you select a copy that has that. There are some All Region DVDs around that only have 3 Asian languages available.

    Re: Stuff to watch

"Wolfen" (1981) is a largely forgotten monster movie. One that could easily be argued to be part of the Carl Kolchak universe.

Audiences today will probably find it too slow with its lack of caped spandex and explosions. But there is a lot here that was unique, or at least early. The cast is great too. This is the sort of movie you need to enter as a participant fly on the wall, not just sitting in your recliner eating Cheetos watching through a screen thoroughly detached.

While this look back is indeed spoilery, it is still a good film and one you can watch more than once. Just like the Kolchak movies and series.

I'm not quite ready to commit at the prices I'm seeing, so I'll probably wait.

Seems to be British made, yet locations and accents and a couple of the actors suggest southern California.

    Whole movie, imperfectly colorized here.

Watchable but lower-budget slightly stilted version of a story we already got in "The Day The Earth Stood Still" almost a decade earlier. Some of the sound effects used here were also used in 1960s "Star Trek." I have no idea how stock "sci-fi" sounds were collected and licensed for later use, and these might have originated earlier.

"Conqueror of Shambala" had extra content. Have you ever seen the Elric grandchildren?

That won't mean much unless you are a fan of "Fullmetal Alchemist" (2003 series) and the movie that completed their story. Even if you are a fan this won't make sense until you watch the very end.
