    Anything to save a buck

I hope there is not a paywall to this link:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifes...e-1965-robson/

Back in 1965 this guy tried to ship himself from Australia to Wales and it didn't work out well. He just wrote a book about it partially to find the people that helped him.

If there is a paywall his name is Brian Robson and Google has links.
    Please remember next time...elections matter!

I heard about this on some radio show. It sounded like a pretty brutal experience.

Could have gone worse, though. I just got something mailed from St. Paul, MN to Idaho. It first went to Nashua, NH, which it did in a day, or so, which means it was flown there. It then vanished for darn near two weeks, until it showed up in my mailbox. So, after flying half way across the country in the wrong direction, it appears to have been put on a truck and driven all the way out without ever being scanned along the way. That guy would show up as human jerky, had he taken THAT ride.

And I thought riding in a car trunk at the drive in movie theater was bad
Wi-fi went down for five minutes, so I had to talk to my family....They seem like nice people.

I might ask what the hell you were talking about, grandpa, if I wasn't old enough to remember such shenanigans myself.

Yes, but we had kangaroos riding bikes to generate it.
