Deployment Issue - Cannot Download Application
Hello:
After creating dozens of applications the same way without trouble, I am getting this error when trying to install:
Code:
cannot download the application missing required files contact application vendor for assistance
Haven't seen this one before. I suppose some Windows Update (that's the most recent issue we seem to have) has been applied.
Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks!

Re: Deployment Issue - Cannot Download Application
I am guessing that is a ClickOnce install.
Possibly useful link:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Fo...=winformssetup
Also, check to make sure that all required files are located where the installer thinks they should be.

And what way is that? Care to explain? Making us guess is not the best way to get specific help.

I think you are vary hard on me. My only point is that I've created several application deployments the same way as the current one.

Re: Deployment Issue - Cannot Download Application
The application is missing required files.
Here are what it thinks are the missing files:
Code:
ERROR SUMMARY
Below is a summary of the errors, details of these errors are listed later in the log.
* Activation of U:\Steve A\_DeliverablePrograms\ProductionScheduling\ProductionScheduling.application resulted in exception. Following failure messages were detected:
+ Downloading file://w2012/users/_DeliverablePrograms/ProductionScheduling/ProductionScheduling.application did not succeed.
+ Could not find a part of the path '\\w2012\users\_DeliverablePrograms\ProductionScheduling\ProductionScheduling.application'.

When I look at this folder, this file exists!

Aside from the path name, the manifest data is nearly identical to another application, which installed fine.

The only variables lately is that we have had a plethora of Windows 10 updates that have caused all kinds of inconsistent issues, from blue screening printers, etc.

And my point is that something has gone wrong with that way but if you don't tell us what you've done then we can't tell you what you've done wrong. It's not rocket surgery: tell us what you're trying to achieve, how you're trying to achieve it and what happens when you try. Provide all the relevant information and then we have the best chance to diagnose the issue. If what you did didn't work as expected then it's almost certain that you did something wrong so logic dictates that you tell us what you did. That's not something that we should have to prompt you to do.
