    Problem with mini cube

Screen goes dark and then says there is a temperature problem.
But it's false, it's some software problem.
Can it be fixed by changing the bios ?
How ? Can you help ?

How did you come to the conclusion that the error is false and or related to software?

Can it be fixed by changing the bios ? -> Why do you think this?
Wi-fi went down for five minutes, so I had to talk to my family....They seem like nice people.

Post the make and model of your "mini cube", or the motherboard make and model for it.

I'm still curious as to how you know that the message is false? You'd want to be sure about that, since the penalty for being wrong is pretty high.

Can't get it to enter bios.
    F2 won't do it.
Then if I go to settings etc, etc there is no "UEFI firmware settings" in my windows 10. The MB is legacy.
    How else ?

Maybe no, but I 'll try "disable fast startup" from power options later, then F2.

    I got into bios.
Tried save defaults, balance, cool and custom for the fan but nothing happens.
Maybe the fan is n't working.
Are all the minis susceptible to this ?

    Re: Problem with mini cube

Any computer can have heat issues. I suggest the you open the case and check the fan to make sure it is working and any ventilation ports are not clogged with dust. It is also possible that the CPU heatsink/fan unit is not firmly seated and/or the thermal compound needs to be replaced.

Does the BIOS have a temperature indicator? If so, what did it show?

The CPU temperature would be the one of most concern, but any that are too high could be an issue.

Now I dismantled it and I 'm waiting for the technician to come and get it.
But I will inform the thread as to what happened.

Good that you found this. A dead fan can lead to a new computer. Silicon can take some fairly high temperatures, but it begins to break down as it approaches about 90 degrees C, and will break down completely above that point. Once that happens, your CPU is destroyed.
